Buyer's Index is a specialized search engine. We only list Web sites which offer specific products for sale to a nationwide or worldwide audience.

- Wholesale and retail suppliers to businesses and consumers
- Companies anywhere in the world if their catalog or Web site is available in English. Most of our current listings are North American companies.
- Service products, only if they are clearly defined, priced, and available nationwide
- Specialized buyer's directories and search engines, such as a directory of software vendors or photographic equipment vendors
- Are you looking for body kits, headlights, or ground effects for your car or truck?
- Classified ad sites & auction sites, if they offer products for sale to a nationwide or worldwide audience.
- Priced Items and Individual Pages within a site. This is a fee based service. Contact us for rates.
We do not list...
- Companies serving a local market only.
- Merchants who don't disclose a correct company name, street address and phone number at their site.
- Adults-only catalogs and Web sites
- Services that are not sold as products, (most lawyers, accountants, consultants, architects, real estate agents, etc.)
- Commissioned reps or MLM franchisees who merely provide an entrance to another company's ordering & fulfillment site.
- Malls. We list each separate company in a mall, but not the mall itself.
- Small Web sites or printed flyers with very limited offerings
If your listing request is not accepted, please understand that Buyer's Index must stay focused in order to serve our users. There are other search engines that do a good job covering your field.
How to Make Your Listing Successful
Here are the 3 best ways to get more click-throughs for your free listing.
- Make your description clear and complete. Use the full 180 characters allowed.
- Include category and product words to attract the best search hits
- Answer all the questions
A clear and complete listing will make buyers think you have a clear and complete site. It will also rank your listing higher on the page. Buyer's Index scores every listing for completeness and displays listings with more information closer to the top. We reject listings that are incomplete or unprofessional.
The following will detract from your listing or cause it to be rejected.
- Typing in all caps
- Rigging the site title with leading A's or punctuation. (We don't sort listings alphabetically.)
- Typos and misspellings
- Excessive hype. Buyers look for sites that appear trustworthy and professional.
