Link to Buyer's Index from Your Web Site

We'll improve the position of your Buyer's Index listing based on how many visitors you send to us.

Each week, we'll automatically raise your listing position until we're sending you as many visitors as you send us.

To get credit for the number of visitors you send us, use a coded URL like this:

    HREF="http://www.buyersindex.com/cgi-bin/refer.pl?id=_____"

Be sure to use your Buyer's Index listing ID after the id=

To look up your listing ID, do a search of your site name on Buyer's Index. Your listing ID is the first number in parenthesis at the end of your listing (usually a 4 or 5 digit number).

Put a link on your home page, even if it's a small one. That way, you'll send us enough traffic to substantially boost your listing position.

How to Find Your Buyer's Index listing ID

Do a search of your site name on Buyer's Index. Your listing ID is the first number in parenthesis at the end of your listing (usually a 4 or 5 digit number)

If for example, your listing ID is 12345, your HREF statement should be:

    HREF="http://www.buyersindex.com/cgi-bin/refer.pl?id=12345"

Change the src= part, so it'll find the graphic file on your Web server

The HTML code must state where the Buyer's Index graphic file is to be found on your Web server. In the example, the graphic file is named 175x40_1.gif and is located in a subdirectory named images.

On most Web servers, file names are case sensitive. ABC.gif does not equal abc.GIF.

To find the height and width of an image:

Using Netscape, right-click on the image and select View Image. The Title bar of the Netscape window will show width x height.

Using Internet Explorer, right-click on the image and select Properties.
